What is print-on-demand?

Print on Demand (POD) is a modern business model that makes it possible to sell personalized products, such as clothing or accessories, without having to finance initial production.

This model is based on manufacture on demand, which means that each item is created only when the customer places an order.

Definite advantages

With advances in printing technology, particularly digital printing (DTF, DTG, Sublimation), it is now possible to produce unique parts at competitive costs, without having to stock large quantities.

This contrasts sharply with more traditional printing methods, such as screen printing, which require volume production to be profitable. In such cases, retailers must generally invest significant sums in manufacturing, with the risk of not selling the entire stock.

The POD eliminates this kind of financial risk by delaying production until sales are confirmed. This allows you to launch your projects without the need for substantial start-up funds. What's more, the absence of stock reduces logistical problems, simplifies management and allows you to experiment freely with different designs, without financial constraints.

This model is particularly well-suited to those who want to get into e-commerce quickly, with a minimum of investment and risk, while benefiting from the flexibility offered by on-demand production.
