
1. General Functioning of the Import tool
1.1. What is Product Import?
This tool allows you to automatically transfer a list of products from your existing store to TPOP. This enables you to:
Retrieve all your physical products.
Retrieve your digital products.
In short, if you already own an external store to TPOP and want to manage or sell your products directly from TPOP (physical or digital products), the import feature is the ideal solution to avoid manually recreating each product listing.
1.2. Compatibility with Print-on-Demand
If you have "Print on Demand" (POD) products connected to an external supplier via TPOP, these will be imported as simple products without being linked to the external supplier.
POD products created with TPOP are not affected: they will not be imported, since you can already manage and enable them directly from your TPOP dashboard.
1.3. Compatible platforms
The migration tool is designed to support as many different platforms as possible. We regularly add new ones. Contact our support team if your platform is not recognized.
2. Conditions of access and limitations
2.1. Eligible subscriptions
The import feature is accessible starting with the “Unlimited” subscription.
A limited trial version for up to 5 products is available with the free subscription, allowing you to test the import before potentially upgrading to a higher subscription.
2.2. Product limit
For reasons of performance and stability, the import is limited to a maximum of 500 products. Beyond this, the operation will not be possible.
2.3. Import duration
Depending on the number of products to import, the operation may take a certain amount of time. No worries: the products will appear progressively in your TPOP interface as the import progresses.
3. Configuration of the store to be transferred
3.1. Verification of store ownership
Before starting the import, we must ensure that you are the owner of the shop to be imported. To do this:
Log in to your TPOP account.
Access the new import feature (you can find it in your store settings).
Enter your store URL (https://www.shop.com for example).
You will access the list of products in your store: select the ones you wish to import.
Start the import.
From there, TPOP will retrieve all eligible products from the store, up to the limit of 500 products.
5. Important Points to Remember
External POD products: Products linked to external suppliers (print-on-demand outside TPOP) are imported, but the link will not be maintained. They will therefore appear as regular products in TPOP.
TPOP POD products: Products created via TPOP are not imported. You can already find them in your TPOP dashboard and do not need to re-import them.
500-product limit: Beyond this, the operation will not succeed.
Variable import duration: Depending on the number of products, the process may take more or less time. Products will gradually appear in your TPOP list.
Subscriptions:
Full import available starting from the “Unlimited” subscription.
Test version (5 products) accessible with the free subscription.
